Accessibility statement

We want MarTech Sentinel to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboards or magnification. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.

Statement date: 1 November 2026

Conformance status

MarTech Sentinel partially conforms with WCAG 2.2 level AA. This means some parts of the site do not yet fully meet the standard, or have not yet been tested in every way the standard needs. The known gaps are listed below.

What we tested

Our latest evaluation was on 1 November 2026, on the current version of the site. It covered:

  • 15 public pages: the home page, pricing, methodology, glossary, the due-diligence checklist, the vendor catalog and a catalog category page, the waitlist, privacy policy, terms, sub-processors, this page, sign-in, sign-up and the “page not found” page.
  • The signed-in app: dashboard, audit history, a complete audit report, vendor comparison, the vendor catalog, billing, settings, and the administration overview and opt-out pages.

How we tested

  • Automated checks with the axe-core engine (version 4.14) against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 level A and AA rules, on every page above, at a phone width (375 pixels) and a desktop width (1440 pixels).
  • A keyboard-only pass with the Tab key on every page above: the “Skip to main content” link comes first, every focused element shows a visible focus indicator, and focus never gets trapped.
  • Colour contrast of text, links and focus indicators in our current colours, measured against the WCAG thresholds.
  • A check that animations and transitions stop when the “reduce motion” setting of the operating system is on.
  • A check that no page scrolls sideways at phone width; wide tables scroll inside their own area, which can be reached and scrolled with the keyboard.

The problems we found in this evaluation were fixed before this statement was published: focus indicators that were missing or too faint, two tables that could not be scrolled with the keyboard, a catalog page that scrolled sideways on phones, and form fields that pointed screen readers to descriptions that did not exist. After these fixes, the automated checks found no failures on the pages listed above. Automated tools find only part of all possible issues, so we treat this as a baseline, not as proof of full conformance.

Known limitations

  • We have not yet tested with screen readers (such as VoiceOver, NVDA or JAWS) or with people who use assistive technology. Automated tools and a keyboard pass cannot replace that, and it is the next step.
  • We have not separately tested browser zoom at 200% and 400%, or speech input. The phone-width check covers much of the same layout behaviour, but not all of it.
  • The outlines of text fields are lighter than the 3:1 contrast that WCAG asks for the edges of form controls. Every field has a visible text label. We plan to darken the outlines.
  • The sign-in, sign-up and subscription forms are provided by our authentication service, Clerk. We set their colours and focus indicators, but we do not control their structure.
  • The category and filter drop-downs announce the list they open before it exists, a known behaviour of the component library we use. Screen readers handle this, but some automated checkers report it.
  • Very wide tables, such as the audit results and the vendor catalog, scroll sideways on small screens.
  • The site has no dark mode.
  • The downloadable PDF and spreadsheet versions of audit reports have not been checked for accessibility.
